For those of you that don't know, early July is a time when both Canada and the US celebrate their birthdays. For us Canadians, Canada Day signifies that the summer has arrived. Our children defrost after a long frigid winter and return to doing whatever Canadian kids do these days... play Uno, smoke maple syrup dipped cigarettes and teach beavers to gamble. In the US, Independence Day signifies the day that notable actor William Smith liberated America from an alien invasion with the help of Data from Star Trek (we're engineers, not historians).
